How it Works

1. Register for an AWS-authored Course

DSU Community & Continuing Education is offering two AWS Courses this fall: Foundations, and Architecting. AWS experts develop and maintain course curriculum, specifically for AWS Academy, that keeps pace with cloud innovation. AWS Academy member institutions have instructors who have earned AWS Certification and are accredited to teach AWS coursework. Through lectures, hands-on labs, group discussions, individual projects, and knowledge assessments, you’ll gain a real-world understanding of AWS Cloud practices throughout the course of your studies.

The AWS Academy program gives you access to the AWS Cloud skills and knowledge you need to hit the ground running. When you finish, you’ll have mastered skills that open doors to professional opportunities.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Make architectural decisions based on the AWS-recommended architectural principles and best practices.
  • Use AWS services to make an infrastructure scalable, reliable, and highly available.
  • Use AWS managed services to enable greater flexibility and resiliency in an infrastructure.
  • Make an AWS-based infrastructure more efficient in order to increase performance and reduce costs.
  • Use the Well-Architected Framework to improve architectures with AWS solutions.
